Nice choice. This was one of the very first pieces of software I ever bought for my mac. Too bad that means I already own it of course.
December 4th, 2006 at 12:17 am
how does this piece of software differ from other programs?…namely Mac Pilot.
December 4th, 2006 at 12:18 am
So how is it? I am interested but would like to hear experiences before I purchase it. Obviously I will give the demo a shot, but would appreciate feedback from those that use this app.
Thanks.

I am not sure if I need this application.
But For Some Reason, ever since I viewed this page I have had an *intense* craving for pulpy, unsweetened grapefruit juice! It is midnight; everything is closed; and I *need* grapefruit juice like a cigarette after a day without.
Oi.

I also bought this application a long time ago! Unfortunately the developer is very poor with responses if you are ever so lucky to get one, then on top of that no freshness has been introduced to it in a very good long time!

Absolutely. This again is a tool which has been surpassed by free alternatives. It used to be very good but it isn’t any more.

I also use Onyx which is free and really good. I don’t know if I’ll buy this… I’m waiting to test it after work.
I buy sharewares apps… but only when they are better than freeware ones.
Nicolas.

Love Cocktail. I’ve been using it for a couple years now. I prefer it over Onyx. I find it easier to use and more intuitive. Plus Onyx doesn’t optimize network settings.
December 4th, 2006 at 4:30 am
not in, i’ve got a dozen apps that do this job, a combo between mac pilot, onyx and tinkertool does just about everything possible
December 4th, 2006 at 5:39 am
Yeah I have Mac Pilot from a previous ZOT, not sure Cocktail will really provide me much more than it already provides for me.

Does is strike anyone else that at the top of this post is an obscenely large Cocktail icon.
December 4th, 2006 at 8:05 am
I use Cocktail as often as possible. It’s a fantastic utility.

I’m in. A friend of mine recommended it to me but I’ve been holding out until it was Zot!ted just for the discount that was sure to come with it. Thanks Zot!
Now, can you re-do the Yummy FTP, cuz I missed out on that and really really really want it.
Thank you. :)

For those who still needs a copy of YummyFTP, head over to http://www.macappaday.com/.
The free copies ran out but the coupon code is still good for a $15 discount (which brings to total cost down to just $10). Grab it while you still can.

@Betty: If you want Yummy FTP, MacAppADay was giving it away for free this morning. Unfortunately they all ran out but they’re giving an offer to latecomers, you can nab it for $15 less by using their coupon code on their website (http://www.macappaday.com)

Yummy FTP is free today…do a little searching and you will find it…

TinkerTool System ($7) and Onyx do it for me. Passing on this one.

did anyone win cocktail today? didn’t see that link on the maczot page.

I’ve used Cocktail when it was free, and then have purchased it ever since—including upgrades. It is very good, and part of my utility arsenal that includes others in this category. This version is current with 10.4.8. The developer took a severe and unwarranted beating when they changed over to shareware from the “if-it-ain’t-free-it-ain’t-worth-it” crowd, but Cocktail is worth the money and a bargain at the MacZOT price.

I love Cocktail — it’s one of the best designed and most elegant utilities out there. I purchased it a long time ago and have never thought twice. This is an excellent deal.
