Everything this developer does is top shelf. I owned a license to TypeStyler eons ago, and finally something has come along that can replace it. Yes, it is no Illustrator, but for quick and easy graphics this does the job very well.

This is very cool! Simple, quick and lovely! Also, very mac! :)

COOL. Fantastic idea for an app.
Unfortunately for the dev, I have no need for it ^^; It looks really nice though.

Yes, very cool and simple, but for pro photoshop user, I can’t see myself spending $20. I’d scoop it for $10 though, just to do quick little things when needed. Sry.

I use PS as well, but I do like the “canned” textures. It makes things simpler yet you can modify as needed.

Could the developer chime in? When I have a shape selected, and select a style, it reverts to a text field. Is there a setting to keep the shape in the foreground? I know I can select the shape from the menu or from the triangles in the corners below. But it would nice to not have to do that with every style selected.

    Thanks

I like this program. I just used a font that I made and it looked great. I don’t use Photo Shop well, but this might be a great way for me to make quick textual content for my web site.

I have to play around with it some more.

Are there plans for custom shapes?

Just speaking from my perspective this is a godsend for those of us working in a production environment where a design is built for repeat business. Typestyler was our tool of choice for many spcialized name drops. Unfortunately they dropped the the ball, and left us with a bunch of useless templates… Good riddence Typestyler!!!!

My 6 and 9 yr old girls have absolutely been loving playing with the trial version of this program. My 9yr old immediately had the idea and was excited about using this for our web page and about a hundred other ideas she had.

I might pony up the $20 for this just for the coolness factor. At the original price it might be worthwhile for those needing it in a business but for the average Joe Blow, it’s a little much.

Oh great. WordArt for Mac. Yuck.

Interesting app, but *two* days interesting?

  11. Jim Says:

I went for it. I might not use it too often but it’ll be useful for the times that I need it plus my kids love playing with it.

Just waiting on my key now.
