DOT.TUNES is a powerful web-based file server that gives you the ability to access, publish, share and manipulate the media in your iTunes library remotely over any device capable of an internet connection (and media playback). DOT.TUNES will help you remember why you got the iPhone in the first place.
It’s Your Music – Take It With You
DOT.TUNES lets you get at your entire stash, regardless of the memory limits of your device. The iPhone plug-in gives iPhone owners the ability to access all of their music, movies, videos and podcasts directly on their iPhone via Wifi and the Edge Network.
Browsing playlists, searching by album, artist name, genre, composer and creating favorites are just a few of the features of the DOT.TUNES iPhone interface.
Check out our demo server at http://music.dottunes.net:9998 to experience DOT.TUNES over the iPhone. Or check out our Quicktime demonstration video below showing DOT.TUNES actually running on the iPhone.

OK I don’t get it. Can you very simply explain what this software actually does? Is it something I set up on my server, your server, is their a monthly charge.?
Do I upload all of my music onto your server?
I do not mean to sound dumb, but I just do not quite understan exactly what your software does. I mean it is only $10 so that is not the issue . I just want to know what I am buying.
Thanks
You can share your tracks within your local network with all the computers in your home or office or share with your over the web.
DOT.TUNES contains a custom made web server designed specifically for sharing your iTunes tracks. It is a FREE application but you can choose to purchase Plugins to enhance the application.
Some of the optional Plugins are DOT.iPHONE – allowing you to browse and stream your iTunes music from your Mac to your iPhone, DOT.SECURE – providing fully encrypted SSL https:// logins and then there are Plugins for the WII, PS3, PSP and Palm.
DOT.TUNES is different from other P2P style apps in that you are not connected to a central network. You create usernames and passwords within DOT.TUNES so that only authenticated users can login to your DOT.TUNES server to browse, play or download music. At no time do you need to upload your tracks to a central server or pay a monthly fee.
I hope the above helps to explain but really that’s just the tip of the iceberg. DOT.TUNES allows you to upload files straight into DOT.TUNES, serve RSS feeds and podcasts, stream m3u playlists via a web browser and even serve an entire web site via the advanced developer API – check out http://www.djjazzyjeff.com and you’ll see an entire web site served via DOT.TUNES. Jeff sues iTunes as his content management system – perfect for musicians or professional music lovers :-)
Please let me know if I can elaborate in any area.

CORRECTION: Above I typed “Jeff sues iTunes as his content management system” but I meant to type “Jeff uses iTunes as his content management system”.
Typo – oops
Sorry about that
