How is this different than Desktoptopia which is free?

Can you export the desktops in Desktoptopia?
Maybe that’s one of the differences?

Desktoptopia started off as a $20 product as well but after a few months I think they realised that people just were not willing to pay for free desktop pictures. So they went free. There are less images available on Desktoptopia but they are of better quality than Renew.
This is a reasonable product but $20 is too much and so is $10. Sorry to say it but this is at best a $5 product.

When I come across one i like, I go to desktop and screen saver pref pane, drag the image to the desktop and have hazel dump it in my wallpapers folder in case I’m ever in the mood for it.

All wallpapers in Desktoptopia are downloaded in /Users/xxxxx/Library/Application Support/Desktoptopia/.Backgrounds

I tired this but it didn’t seem to work on my mac pro. The backgrounds wouldn’t change. Next I downloaded Desktoptopia and it worked.

I have to agree, $20 is a bit much. $9.95 regular price and a $5 zot. That would probably net better sales.
