Flip Boom allows kids to draw and color characters, then bring them to life through the use of traditional animation processes. Kids can simply draw a series of pictures, and when played in sequence, objects drawn start to move. Kids will be amazed that they can create short animations in minutes! Projects can be saved to work on later or exported in various formats to share with others. Conceived specifically for children with kid friendly icons, it is very easy to learn and use.

Flip Boom Classic is a fun and creative tool designed to animate freely. Based on traditional animation principles, Flip Boom Classic sets the imagination free while teaching notions of timing and motion.

Powered by Toon Boom Animation, the worldwide leader in animation software solutions.

“I think Flip Boom is a perfect program for kids to help them get started with animation. My grandchildren have great
fun with it when they visit. It also works seamlessly with my Wacom tablet and it was very easy to convert files to
a movie format.”
Pat Faldetta

“I love Flip Boom. It is very easy to use and a great way to introduce my kids (and me) to animation. Also, thanks for the
YouTube referrals. That’s a great idea for Toon Boom. I’m very impressed with your company AND the concept of Flip Boom.”

OH … MY… GOD … Flip Boom Classic again!!?? Why? Why? WHYYYY? [epic whining] I want Animation-ish! I keep saying it, but no one is listening. Joan Vogelesang, please! Let us Zot Animation-ish. It’s not fair of you to keep teasing us like this!

To show that I’m taking the high road here, I did demo Flip Boom Classic [again], and I like it, I really do. I just like Animation-ish BETTER. I made a very short test animation that you can view here:

  2. Tommy Says:

    Ditto. (Love the animation.)

  3. Robin S Says:

I’m just checking back to see if my pleas fell on deaf ears. Yes, I see they did [sigh]. I guess I’m just going to have to spring for the full $60 at some point for Animation-ish. But, I think I can hold out just a lil bit longer.

  4. MrStinkEye Says:

I was going to try out Flip Boom but no dice… 0 days left on my trial!! I’ve never tried a trial version of any of their software. I even had to set up a new account with Toon Boom to download it.

Too bad, Toon Boom. Your loss.

  5. Kay Says:

I’d love to have Animation-ish, too. I wonder if they are even allowed to sell it at a discount since it isn’t their program?

  6. Robin S Says:

    @Kay

Well, if it’s NOT their program, then … what? I don’t really care! I just want it and they have it on their site and they should get Peter Reynolds to offer it up! He wants us all to learn to be “-ish,” and I’m willing! I want to be “=ish”! C’mon, Peter! C’mon, Joan! Somebody let us Zot Animation-ish! I’m making it my MISSION.

It would also be nice if someone from Toon Boom came on and addressed MrStinkEye’s trial issue. That’s the kind of stuff that makes us all unhappy.

Hey, I already own Toon Boom Studio, so it’s not like I’m afraid to spend the money. It’s the PRINCIPAL! Flip Boom Classic has been here at least twice (and at least once on that other unnamed discount site), and it’s time for Animation-ish! [Fist in the air! Inciting a movement!]

  7. Robin S Says:

Um, I think that was supposed to be PRINCIPLE.

    I’m not gonna get Animation-ish, am I …… :-(

  8. clem Says:

    @ robin s
