Q1: What is MacZOT?

A: MacZOT is a place where you can get great Mac apps at great prices. We work with independent Mac developers to bring you special ZOT discounts on some of the best Mac applications available today. We have a new 24hr offer every weekday, and we feature One product for 48 hours on weekends. The offer period indicated on the time clock on the main page. The offers begin and end at 10:00 pm PST. During this time you can download and demo the featured product by clicking on the TRY button. If you decide to buy, simply return to macZOT's main page and click the BUY button. We use PayPal to process our payments. It's simple and quick. You do not need a PayPal account to purchase using PayPal.

Q2: How do I register my new software once I purchase it?

A: Once your purchase is complete, you will receive a confirmation email that will give you directions as to when and how to register your new software. Typically we will provide you with the registration information via email (either directly from MacZOT or from the developer) within 24 hours after the ZOT has ended. When possible, we will also put the registration information (e.g. serial #, license keys, download links, etc.) in your MacZOT account. If you do not receive your registration information, please contact us immediately and we will get it to you ASAP. The most likely reason you will not receive your registration information is because the email was filtered and/or caught in your spam/junk folder. Please look in your account and in your spam folder before contacting us. Serials are often delivered directly by the developer within 24 hours of the offer ending, so please look for an email from the developers website address.

Q3: I live outside the United States, can I still order?

A: Yes. If you can access PayPal from your country, you can purchase items on MacZOT!

Q4: If I don't like the item I ordered, can I return it?

A: Because the products can be tried before using, there are no returns. Please click on the TRY button to demo the product. We realize that some people purchase the product without trying it first only later to find out that it wasn't what they had thought it was. Please do not buy the product unless you really want it. We pay the developers the day after the offer ends and complete our financial transactions with them at that time.

Q5: Can you ship via a different method?

A: All orders will be fulfilled electronically. There are no physical shipments.

Q6: Can I buy more than one license?

A: Yes, we do allow multiple purchases. You will be given that option during the payment process. You will also have the option to gift the product to a friend. During the checkout process you can give us their name and email address.

Q7: Do y'all sleep? (It seems somebody is available online 24 hours a day.)

A: Yes, we sleep. But we like to be as responsive as possible to our members. If you send us an email, we make every effort to respond in a timely manner, usually less than 48 hours.

Q8: I have software I'd like to see on MacZOT! Do you take requests?

A: Yes. Head over to the contact us page and drop us a note. We try to stay on top of the large variety of Mac apps and we appreciate your help finding new ones.

Q9: Where are the MacZOT! headquarters?

A: Brian, the idea man, is in San Francisco, CA. Mike the lead contractor, is in Port Townsend, WA. We work together to make your MacZOT experience the best it can be.

Q10: My Hard Drive crashed, I lost my emails, had some sort of data loss...Can you help me look up my lost serials?

A: We do our best to upload serials and/or registration information into your account. However, due to the large variety of ways developers create and distribute codes, we do not upload them all.We do NOT manage serials. MacZOT IS NOT responsible for any data loss due to circumstances beyond our control. Please make backups regularly and file your serials and registration information in a safe place (e.g. a paper file). If you have lost your serial registrations, you can log in to your MacZOT account to see if the serial and/or registration information is available there. If it isn't, Please contact the developer directly, as they often have a way to look up your name, email address, and registration information. If they can't help you, use the contact tab above to ask us if we have access to the information.

Q11: What is your Privacy Policy?

A: We keep your information as secure as we keep our own social security numbers. We won't let anybody have your information. We collect information to provide you customized service and secure purchasing opportunities. Read our Privacy Policy. (Opens in a new window.)

Q12: For Developers - How do I get my product featured on macZOT?

A: You can start by creating an account from our home page, let us know you've done that,, and we'll convert it to a vendor account. This will give you access to our Vendor Area. We take great pride in working to connect Mac developers from around the world with Mac Users Worldwide. We value our relationships with developers and we look forward to working with YOU!
