Who likes to have fun with photos?

DoubleTake is for stitching photos, screen shots and scans to larger images.

DoubleTake works well with iPhoto and Aperture from where you can drag and drop the photos you want to stitch. With automatic and manual control and color tools for changing exposure settings you can stitch and combine images which were not even intended for stitching.

Poster Printing

Some photos, not just panoramas, just deserve to be printed large. DoubleTake splits the photo and prints it on pages ready to be cut and pasted into a poster. Poster printing will let you set the size of the finished poster directly or let you fill a number of pages to the edges to give you the largest poster for the least cutting and pasting.

Stitching automatically can reorder photos in any order but it will recognize the time stamps and file names and try the obvious combinations first. iPhoto users who shoot panoramas left to right will find it quite easy to see which photos are intended for stitching when browsed in iPhoto.

Stitching manually allows for creative stitching and for stitching of photos where it is not obvious which way they fit. Sample images where manual arrangement are also available on DoubleTake’s web site.

DoubleTake takes special care of screenshots. It can search pixel by pixel for the perfect alignment. This works well unless you have screenshots with white borders around them which matches in an infinite number of ways.

Doubletake can receive images via copy and paste, but if you want to take more than one screen shot drag and drop from the Desktop may be the simplest way to do it.

Sound Byte brings the cart machine to the computer age. You can assign up to 75 recordings per rack, and assign each to a button. Clicking on a button plays that recording. Multiple recordings can be played at the same time.

Sound Byte is used for radio automation by DJs and sound effects people at sporting events and theater productions, and for those who love to energize a party with awesome music selections!

It works much like the “cart machines” that were common years ago. You have a rack of 75 buttons, each represents one sound file. Clicking on the button plays that sound file. You can also assign a hotkey to each button, so typing that key plays the file as well. Buttons can be color-coded to make them easy to find.

Setting up a cart is easy, just drag and drop a sound file on a cart button.

There’s a playlist, where you can add sound files, and specify the order that they should be played, for automated sound playback.

Recordings can be set to fade out at a specified fade rate. They can also be made to loop (repeat continuously). The cut in and cut out times can also be set, if playback of only a portion of a sound file is required.

Sound Byte can play recordings in any sound file format that QuickTime can handle, such as AIFF, mp3, WAVE, uLaw, au, etc.

The Apple IR remote can be used to control sound playback.
