Blocks Makes Web Design Easy
Blocks gives you the power to build web pages by simply dragging content around your layout. Drag in images, move text blocks around your page, and resize anything just by moving the handles around.
Blocks is for RapidWeaver

Blocks is a plugin for RapidWeaver. Just double-click on the Blocks plugin icon, and RapidWeaver installs Blocks and gives you a brand new RapidWeaver page style. YourHead Software was the first plugin developer for RapidWeaver and it shows in Blocks. Blocks takes advantage of all the advanced RapidWeaver features. Blocks can even incorporate other RapidWeaver pages right into your layout.

Drag & Drop
Drag. Drop. You’re done.

When we designed Blocks we wanted to make it as easy as possible to create just about anything. Nothing is easier than drag and drop. Just drag images, text, and HTML right where you want it to go. That’s where they will appear.
Control Freak
Use grids to get things straight and dynamic guides to align your content. And when you want even more control, use the Block Inspector to adjust everything right down to the exact pixel.
But, Will it Blend?
Don’t let the ease of use fool you, Blocks has the power to integrate HTML, Javascript and even PHP. Want to add a Digg button? No problem. How about a Flickr badge? Absolutely.

Block Library
Build, Reuse, Share
Web designs often reuse the same elements again and again. Blocks allows you to save your favorite blocks quickly and easily. Images, text and even HTML code can be saved to the library and then easily dropped into any Blocks layout.

Grass Roots
Everyone who knows RapidWeaver knows that it’s a community effort. The forum, the blogs… everyone… loves to contribute. That’s why library items are easy to share. Have you built a great Flickr badge? A YouTube block? Share them on the forum, post them to the RapidWeaver Add Ons page, or check out what others have done.

Master Pages
Layout Once — Publish Many
Master pages allow you to define your layout once and let each page change the content. But master pages are not just page templates, they’re so much better! A master page is live, you can keep editing the layout even after other pages have added their own content.
Build Up — Stay Flexible
You can easily build complex layout from several master pages. Create a menu master, a header master, and a content master. Stack them up one on top of the other. All the while, all those items stay flexible and editable no matter how many pages subscribe to them.

Smart Blocks™
Smart Is Better
Smart Blocksâ„¢ allow you to add special tags to your code that can connect to the properties of your blocks layout. You can even add GUI controls that make customization easy.
Code is for Geeks — GUI is for Users

If you’re a alpha-geek, adding a GUI lets you build reusable, shareable blocks with complex features that appear to users as a simple, easy-to-understand GUI. If you’re a new user, then jump over to the RapidWeaver Add Ons page and download some pre-made Smart Blocks.

Embed Pages
Mashup Your Site
When you’re designing a great site you need to have the flexibility to add any content you need — even content from other RapidWeaver pages, even other types of pages. Page Blocks let you embed other pages right into your Blocks layout.
Add your Blog, drop in a Carousel. Mix and mactch, it’s fun.
Not Just an iFrame
Many web design apps use iFrames to embed content, but iFrames don’t just include the content, they include everything from the page, and that can really slow things down. Page blocks extract only the content from your other pages so that the integration is seemless.

Image Text
Get Unsafe!
Web safe fonts can be such a bore. And you never really know exactly how they’ll look on every weird, old, strange web browser. That’s why we built Image Text into blocks. Image Text allows you to use any font you like and render it exactly as you see it in Edit mode.
The rendered fonts are placed in an image and positioned so they appear in your layout in exactly the right spot, right down to the last pixel.
True WYSIWYG
The web is not usually a perfect model for WYSIWYG. Fonts are different on different computers, spacing changes, a wide variety of browsers all conspire to make What You See Is Kind of Almost What You Get. The web is usually WYSIKAWYG. It doesn’t roll off the tongue. Image Text is an island of predictability in the sea of web chaos. Image text really is WYSIWYG.
