HTML5 is the latest version of the Web’s bedrock markup language, HTML. But it has come to stand for much more than the average, slow-moving technical standard. HTML5 is intended to make web sites behave more like conventional desktop applications, incorporating video, complex interactions and data as well as greater compatibility with mobile devices.
Something in the last 18 months kicked the HTML5 adoption machine into overdrive. Maybe it was Apple and Microsoft joining hands and dubbing it the future of the web (who knew it could happen?!). Maybe it was Google’s launch of the Chrome Web Store, with its focus on HTML5 (get your angry birds fix in a 15 inch screen!). Maybe it was the HTML5-friendly (or shall I say Flash-unfriendly) iPad’s meteoric sales. Whatever it was, a recent wave of web apps from huge technology giants confirms that this much-hyped language has business’ blessing.
But where do you come in? As HTML5 becomes more and more popular, other web development solutions become less and less prevalent. In a few short years, either you’ll be coding in HTML5 or you’ll be working on IE 6 (good luck with that one!). On the flipside, develop a few HTML5 pages now and you’ll become a guru, be the envy of your peers, and will be building websites that work on PC, Mac, iPhone, Android, Firefox, Chrome, the iPad, and any other device or browser you can think of.
Because it starts from the first principles of HTML, you need no prior knowledge of the subject, since the course begins with a thorough introduction to HTML (which skilled users can skip), before moving onto what’s new in HTML5.

SnapNDrag Pro is screen capture made ridiculously easy.
With SnapNDrag, you can take a screenshot with one click, and then simply drag the resulting screenshot off the window into whatever app you choose.
For example, to email a screenshot, just drag it from SnapNDrag to the Mail application. It is that simple. No hard-to-remember key combinations, no file conversion to deal with, no file save dialog boxes to navigate, no temporary files to erase later on.
Just quick, simple, and to the point. Capture. Drag. Done.
Great little app to capture and resize images + Hot keys
by Dralik
Exactly what I was looking for. I use it to capture the images that I like out of my power points and attach it to my evernote class notes. Then Evernote makes the image txt searchable and tha saves me a lot of typing and makes my note full of images and more interesting. Hot keys option is a plus as well. Also you don’t have to save the files anywhere. You can just drag it from the little screen and put it where you like (OCD’s favorite)
Excellent app
by nikonjeannie
This is a great tool that simplifies getting a screen view to an app. I use it a lot for receipts, and other snippets I wish to capture
And there are LOTS MORE great MAS reviews -

MacFamilyTree – A 24 hr ZOT!
Advanced Genealogy built for Mac. Easily enter and then visualize your family history. Version 6 – Twelve years in the making!
Get ”caught up in the multiple, magnetic lures of genealogy.”
“Tracing ancestors as far back as possible has brought to many people great satisfaction and pleasure. Even documenting one’s family thoroughly for but a few generations can prove just as exciting and fulfilling as a more sketchy documentation across two or three centuries. Each individual ancestral relative previously unknown and genealogically discovered is its own special thrill! No less thrilling is the discovery of records rich with information, which would have remained untouched, which would never have come to light, unless you had gotten caught up in the multiple, magnetic lures of genealogy.” – Alex Haley, Author of Roots.
System Requirements: MacFamilyTree requires a Mac OS X with 10.5 Leopard, 10.6 Snow Leopard, 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion. MacFamilyTree only runs on Intel-based Macs.
Start recording your income and expenses right now.
Whether it’s a coffee during your lunch break or a new car -
Finally, you’ll get a clear overview of exactly what you spend your money on.
Your financial data at your fingertips
Start recording your income and expenses right now, whether it’s a coffee during your lunch break or a new car – finally, you’ll get a clear overview of what exactly you spend your money for. Categories are there to help you distinguish costs for food from recurring expenditures for rent and insurances. Visualize your cash flow and track down areas that allow you to save money.
Conveniently work with iFinance
Of course, iFinance will import your existing financial data in CSV, QIF, OFX and MT940 formats. Your digital bank statement is easily integrated if you’ve previously used another financing software. In addition to that, iFinance mobile, (Sold Separately) for your iPhone or iPod touch from Apple’s iTunes AppStore, tracks your transactions right when and where they occur.
Media
Add as many files to a specific transaction as you like. This way you can attach receipts or invoices as picture, text or pdf file to your entries in order to access the reference file whenever and wherever you want. Media files are being synchronized with iFinance Mobile (version 2.1 and higher). Add or browse your media files on your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad (and of course on your Mac!).
Supported languages & System requirements
iFinance has been translated into a total of 11 languages. This means that the entire user interface, including all buttons, labels and menu entries, automatically adapts to the language settings in your Mac’s System Preferences. Currently, the following languages are available: English German French Italian Dutch Portuguese Russian Czech Spanish Chinese Polish.
Convenient data entry on your Mac
Being up to speed with all your expenses is time-consuming. iFinance eases some of that burden by intelligently doing some of the tedious work for you. Recurring transactions have to be entered only once, all following incidences are automatically entered as per your original setting. Transfers are automatically synchronized with both accounts. Account balances from foreign currency accounts may optionally be auto-converted into your default currency, using today’s exchange rates. Auto-categorization will assign categories to your transactions by searching for key words.
Wherever you go with your iPhone
iPhone mobile, which is sold separately, allows you to enter expenses right when they occur and wirelessly sync them to iFinance on your Mac. Do your private financing work whenever you’re offered the opportunity – be it while waiting for your Pizza, during a cab ride or on the train.
Import your current data
Most banks allow customers to download their bank statements in either the MT-940, OFX, CSV or QIF formats to easily import their accumulated financial data in one fell swoop. In case you’re already using a different financing application, use this importing feature to transfer your data.
Print on remittance slips
NEW: Printing on remittance slips is included in the version 3.2 update, free for all existing iFinance customers.
Not all banking is digital, yet. So if you entered a transfer in iFinance, why not print that data on the form you hand to your bank to save you some time? Simply complete the information in the Template Window, insert a blank form in your printer’s single-paper feed and print a machine-readable remittance slip or cheque.
Some templates ship with iFinance, additional ones, including Cheques, can be easily created. Alternatively, mail your blanks to us and we’ll add them to the selection.
HBCI Support
iFinance 3.3 introduces HBCI support for receiving bank account data online. Be it HBCI-PIN or HBCI-Chipcard, importing your transactions has never been easier. Please notice that many banks or bank accounts aren’t HBCI compatible. In fact, HBCI technology is widely spread in Germany but rather unusual in other countries. If you are unsure whether your bank supports HBCI or not, please download the free demo version.
Conclusive Charts
iFinance offers comprehensive options for visualizing your data. Interactive three-dimensional diagrams give you an overview of your total funds’ progression, which accounts are in the black and which ones might contain liabilities to be paid. Include categories and get a better feel for which expenses burden your monthly budget the most – rent, food, insurances or the installments for your new car. On the other hand, iFinance will show you when rental revenues are missing or your monthly interest payments are absent. If you prefer printouts, simply switch the diagram to printable mode.
Intelligent budgets
Set limits to your monthly spending – either an overall amount or very specific budgets for eating in restaurants, for candy or cigarettes. iFinance assigns spendings to the appropriate budget and warns you as soon as you come close to your bounds. Don’t be unpleasantly surprised by an empty account at the end of the month anymore. And be better prepared to answer the question: “can I afford this pair of shoes or a new DVD this month?”.
Comprehensive search feature
Would you please look up how much you paid for that flatscreen TV four years ago? Then will you find the receipt while you’re at it?… If you need to leave your chair now to dig deep in folders or – even worse – in cardboard archiving boxes, iFinance’s search feature is exactly what you need. Maybe your landlord tells you he’d really appreciate you reinstating the recurring bank transfer for your rent – and you are absolutely sure you didn’t cancel it. The bank statements you imported into iFinance will help tremendously clearing up the situation.
Better overview – Thanks to reports
NEW: Reports are included in the new version 3.2, free for all existing iFinance customers.
What Charts offer in graphical analysis, Reports give you in sheer numbers. Income and Expenses, Profits and Losses – iFinance even compiles with the Top 10 assigned categories, tags, beneficiaries or payers. Weeks, months, quarters and years are easily aggregated, highest and lowest amounts can be marked. The new Relevant Transactions list gives you a detailed overview of all transactions that went into that report.
Are you ready to put your money in perspective?
This is the right tool for the job.

System Requirements: iFinance requires a Mac running Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or later.

Developed for users who are serious and precise about tagging their audio files.
Yate’s feature list reflects a desire to be able to do pretty much anything that can be done in a tagger. Some of these features include a scripting system called actions which lets the user execute a series of steps with one click. Another key feature is Yate’s extensive integration with iTunes and we also supports Discogs and MusicBrainz functionality.
Integration with iTunes was always a key point for us. So we worked on the ability to link files in Yate to iTunes and pass metadata not stored in the files back and forth. We also spent a lot of time working on the ability to do editing in Yate and have it automatically or manually refresh the data stored in iTunes.
Here’s a list of some of the features available in Yate:
Batch Processing Wizard which allows you to edit all of your audio files with a single action
changes can be reverted to the last saved version
drag artwork in from the web, any image file, any file containing a png or jpg image and from iTunes
open files/folders specified in a path in the system clipboard
Discogs wizard to import data from the Discogs database
MusicBrainz wizard to import data from the MusciBrainz database
tracks can be added to iTunes
tracks can be linked to iTunes and the rating, play count, skip when shuffling and gapless state can be passed in either direction
repairs broken file links in iTunes
ability to Show Files in iTunes
compare iTunes values with Yate
Yate is just getting started and one of the benefits of selling outside the Mac App Store is that we can do updates as rapidly as we wish. We can be more responsive to issues and get patches out immediately when available. We’re looking forward to getting involved with people who are as passionate about tagging as we are.
